Experience something unique as you explore the most authentic corners of Puerto Williams, the southernmost city on the planet. On this comprehensive city tour, you’ll learn about the history, culture, and natural surroundings of the Yaghan people, accompanied by an expert guide.
Tour itinerary
We’ll start with a visit to the Martín Gusinde Anthropological Museum (Museo Antropológico Martín Gusinde), where you’ll discover the legacy of the anthropologist who documented the Yaghan people during the final years of their traditional way of life.
We’ll then head to Villa Ukika, home to the largest Yaghan community, where you’ll encounter their living culture and traditions.
Next, we’ll continue to Omora Ethnobotanical Park (Parque Etnobotánico Omora), a natural laboratory just 5 km from the city, renowned for its unique biodiversity and its connection to ancestral Yaghan knowledge.
We’ll finish at Mejillones Cove (Caleta Mejillones), a place rich in history and memory, considered one of the last Indigenous settlements in the region, where an ancient Yaghan cemetery is still preserved. At the end of the tour, we’ll return to the meeting point after an enriching experience at the end of the world.
