Embark on a unique adventure rafting down the Maipo River (Río Maipo) with Chile Outdoor Rafting. This guided experience begins at our base, where you’ll receive all the technical gear you need and take part in a pool safety talk to ensure a safe and fun outing.
Then we’ll walk together to the put-in, where the thrilling, approximately 1-hour descent begins along one of the river’s most entertaining sections. Upon arriving in San José de Maipo, we’ll take you back to the base.
What you’ll do
We’ll start with a warm welcome at our Chile Outdoor Center base, located in San José de Maipo.
You’ll get your full gear and join a safety briefing in our natural lagoon-style pool, where you’ll learn basic paddling techniques and commands in a calm setting surrounded by nature.
We’ll then walk along a scenic trail to the river, where the descent through Class III–IV rapids begins.
Our certified guides will accompany you the whole way, ensuring safety and fun.
At the end of the run, our transport will take you back to the base, where you can use our facilities. E
quipped with bathrooms, changing rooms, and showers to get changed and relax.
We’ll share snacks (vegetarian option available), review photos from the trip, and wrap up with a group photo by the river or at the lagu
