Cross the Chacao Channel and discover the magic of Chiloé, an island where myths, architecture, traditions, and cuisine blend to create a one-of-a-kind experience.
Description.
The adventure begins in Puerto Varas, heading to the Chacao Channel, which we’ll cross by ferry to enter the magical Chiloé Island (Isla Grande de Chiloé).
We’ll visit Ancud, where we’ll see the Spanish fort and the craft market. We’ll then continue to Castro, exploring its traditional stilt houses (palafitos) and visiting the emblematic Church of Castro (Iglesia de Castro), a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
We’ll finish in Dalcahue, where you can discover local traditions and enjoy typical Chilote cuisine at the local cocinerías.
Chiloé isn’t explained; it’s experienced. Enjoy a full day filled with culture, scenery, architecture, and flavors that make this island one of the most distinctive destinations in southern Chile.
